I would Pass on the Hoodia Patch
There seems to be a patch for everything… no matter what your affliction there is a patch on the market to make it go away.
Well maybe there isn’t a patch for everything, but there are a lot of them out there. The theory behind patches is that the contents of the patch are time released through the skin directly into the blood stream bypassing the digestion process.
The hoodia patch then is meant to be stuck somewhere on your body, and have hoodia time released into your blood stream there by controlling your appetite throughout the day.
My guess is that the hoodia patch would be mildly effective at best, and more than likely it will not work at all. Being able to effectively deliver medication or a nutritional supplement through the skin using a patch is no easy task… if you really want to know the science behind it do a search for “Transdermal Technology”.

The sites I seen offering the hoodia patch offered no proof or documentation that what they were selling was 100% pure hoodia gordonii. Not showing proof is red flag you should be looking for when shopping for any hoodia supplement patch or otherwise. The big claim all these sites seem to be making is that you can stick the hoodia patch on in the mourning and it will curb your cravings for the entire day. You can accomplish this by taking a regular hoodia supplement why bother with unsightly hoodia patches?
In my opinion, the hoodia diet patch is just trying to capitalize on a trend, and that trend is the patch. Nicotine and more recently the birth control patch have gotten a lot of media attention lately so it’s only natural that others will jump on the bandwagon, but unlike those patches offered by pharmaceutical companies I doubt the makers of hoodia patches spent millions researching and developing their product.
