FDA is warning people not to take two unapproved Brazilian diet supplements
FDA warning about Brazilian diet drugs
There are two products being sold on the internet that the FDA says could be harmful. They are Emagrece Sim, also called the “Brazilian Diet Pill,” and Herbathin.
They are made by Fitoterapicos and Phytotherm Sim both in Brazil and are labeled as dietary supplements but contain “active ingredients in two prescription drugs - Librium and Prozac as well as an unapproved amphetamine-like stimulant, according to the FDA.”
