The 60 Minutes Hoodia Story
The Hoodia 60 minutes news story that was done on November 2004 was for most people the first time they had ever heard of this strange cactus that could help them lose weight.
If you've seen these types of news reports before then you know that they usually end up with the reporter exposing the people making the diet supplements as con artists and urging it's viewers to stay away from the product... That didn't happen with the 60 minutes report on Hoodia.
Leslie Stahl and Hoodia:
When 60 minutes reporter Leslie Stahl tried the Hoodia Cactus she reported that there was no harsh side effects such as jitters or a upset stomach, no after taste, and most important she said she was not hungry for the rest of the day.
In fact when asked about the effectives of Hoodia Stahl said - "I'd have to say it did work".
It should be noted that the Hoodia Leslie Stahl tried on 60 minutes was the actual Hoodia Cactus itself picked fresh from the Kalahari Desert in South Africa.
